Who we are

The evac.lt app and the evac.lt website are run by evac.lt. Send questions about privacy to info@evac.lt.

What we don’t collect

• There’s no sign-up and no accounts – we don’t know who you are.
• There’s no advertising, analytics or tracking; the app contains no third-party analytics or advertising code.
• Your location, searches, routes, the articles you read, your checklists and your emergency card are never sent to us.

What is kept only on your device

• Location. If you allow it, the app uses your location on the device only: to show you on the map, find the nearest shelter and essential places, plan a route, show the nearest radio transmitter, and warn you if you’re outside siren coverage. So that this warning isn’t repeated, the app remembers, on the device, roughly where it last showed it. You can withdraw location access at any time in your phone’s settings – the app works without it.
• The emergency card (name, date of birth, blood type, allergies, medication, conditions, family contacts, meeting place) – whatever you enter is kept only on the device, encrypted by the operating system’s file protection.
• Checklist ticks, language and settings – on the device only.
• Downloaded packs (maps, library) – public data, stored on the device.

If you use device backups (iCloud or a computer), the emergency card, checklists and settings are included in them like any other app’s data. Downloaded packs are excluded from backups.

When the app connects to the internet

The app connects only to our pack server, packs.evac.lt, and only to:

• check for new packs or updates – when you open the app and a few hours have passed since the last check, or when you refresh the pack list yourself;
• download the packs you choose, and automatically update the shelter, evacuation point and siren data.

These requests contain none of your data and no identifiers – only the file being requested. The server runs on Cloudflare’s infrastructure. Like any web server, Cloudflare technically processes your IP address and request details (such as the time, the file requested and the device-type header) to deliver the file and protect the network. We don’t use this to identify you and don’t combine it with any other data. See Cloudflare’s privacy policy.

Links to external websites inside library articles are not opened by the app.

Sharing packs with others

When you share a pack with another device (for example by AirDrop), only the pack itself is sent – public data and its signature. None of your personal data (card, checklists, location) is included. You choose who to send it to.

Crash reports

The app has no crash-reporting system of its own. If you have allowed your phone to share analytics with app developers, Apple may pass anonymised crash reports to us. You control this in your phone’s settings (“Privacy & Security → Analytics & Improvements”).

The evac.lt website

The website is made of static pages. It uses no cookies, analytics or advertising and loads no third-party resources (fonts, scripts or images). It runs on Cloudflare’s infrastructure, which technically processes your IP address and request details as described above.

Children

Anyone can use the app. As we collect no personal data, we collect none about children either.

Your rights

As we hold no personal data about you, there is nothing for us to provide, correct or erase. Deleting the app removes all of its data from your device; packs can also be removed individually in the app’s settings. If you believe your data is being handled improperly, you can contact us or lodge a complaint with Lithuania’s data protection authority, the State Data Protection Inspectorate.

Changes

If this policy changes, the updated version will be published on this page with a new date. If the app were ever to start collecting any data, we would say so clearly, in advance.
